When: One year after the defeat of the Vord
What: An unexpected and unusual offer.
*It's rare that the First Lord of Alera truly has time for himself, but after a year's worth of laying groundwork, Tavi's confident that he can take a few days without three or four new crises popping up. Officially, he's come to Calderon to discuss some small matters with the Marat clans; practically, that only took a few hours, leaving him with the freedom to reacquaint himself with the land where he grew up for a day or so.
Privately, he doubts that he'll manage to stay idle for more than that, but so it goes.
He's standing on the wall Bernard had built, where the final battle against the Vord was fought and won, and while his guard is never really down, he's certainly not expecting any danger.
